Privacy

• We do not sell, rent or trade anyone's information. Ever, to anyone.
• There are no advertising trackers, no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no third-party scripts of any kind on this site.
• Nothing you write appears publicly unless you gave permission and a person approved it.
• You can ask us to delete what we hold about you, and we will.

Nothing here is gathered in the background. Each of these exists because you filled in a form:

• Asking for help — your name, how to reach you, your community, and what you need. You may send it anonymously; then only your contact details reach the admin who arranges the help.
• Volunteering — your name, contact details and community.
• Giving — your name, email, the amount, how you paid, and any dedication or note. We need the email to send a receipt.
• Coming to an event — your name and contact details, so the host knows who to expect.
• Sharing a story or a photo — what you wrote or sent, and your contact details in case we need to ask you something.
• The newsletter — your email address, until you unsubscribe.

We do not store card numbers, bank details or account numbers. Gifts sent by Zelle or Venmo happen entirely inside your own bank or payment app; we only see that a payment arrived and who it was from. Where card payments are offered, the card details go straight to the payment processor and never touch this site.

We do not ask for, and do not want, government identification, medical records or financial statements.

Only the small number of people who run All Things Chessed, and only the parts their role requires — someone who manages events cannot open the donation records. Every account is individually named, so an action is always traceable to a person rather than to a shared login.

We share information outside that group in exactly three situations: with the local admin arranging the help you asked for, with the services that deliver our email and host the site, and where the law requires it.

Help requests are never published. Volunteer details are never published. Donor names appear only where the donor chose to be named, and never the amount unless they chose that too — giving anonymously means anonymous on the site and in every list.

A story or photo you send is reviewed by a person before anything appears, and only if you ticked the box giving permission. Asking us to take it down later is enough; you do not need a reason.

We count page views and which pages lead to a gift, using our own code and our own database. It records the page, where the visit came from, and a random identifier held in your browser tab that disappears when you close it. It is not tied to your name, it does not follow you to other websites, and no advertising company receives it.

To stop a form being submitted thousands of times by a script, we count recent submissions against a one-way fingerprint of the network address they came from. The address itself is never stored, and those counts are deleted within a day.

There is one, and only for people who sign in to administer the site: it keeps you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, which is why this site never shows you a cookie banner.

Our community groups run on WhatsApp, which is not ours. Messages in them are governed by WhatsApp's own privacy terms, and other members of a group can see your phone number and what you post there. Please treat a group as public, and think before posting anything about someone else's situation.

Donation records are kept as long as charity and tax rules require. Help requests are kept while they are being handled and for a short period afterwards. Anything else is kept until it is no longer useful or until you ask us to remove it.

This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Young people volunteer at our events all the time — a parent or guardian signs them up.

Write to Hello@AllThingsChessed.org and ask. You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you. We will not ask why. Depending on where you live you may have these rights by law; we would rather simply honour them for everyone.

If we ever change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so here and date it.
